Cascada San Ricardo

Located only 10 minutes away from Tena. It is a property of the Hurtado family (ex deputy of Tena). This little waterfall is located 10 minutes away from Tena (by car) and is a very nice option if you want to do a short trip or combine it with the “Cavernas Jumandy”. If you drive from Tena it is just 500 m before the Archidona Bridge on the left side. . Unfortunately there no signs but you can ask where the cascada de Alex Hurtado is. By public bus it takes a bit longer (20 min approx.) You can take this bus anywhere all the way through Avenida 15 de Noviembre (take the one that says on the shield “Archidona”) or take one bus in the main bus terminal, anyone that goes to Quito.
